Nina update

I wrote awhile back about all of what Aiden has been up to lately and even though it's taken me a bit I finally have a few minutes to talk about my little lady cakes! Melina or Nina as she is more often called in this house is just growing so fast. What they say about the second growing up fast, i find true, so i treasure as much with her as a I can. She has her birthday back in December and has been growing right along. While still small, don't count her out for anything! Her big brother has defiantly prepared her for the world out there, she is one tough girl. I love how she bounces back even when she falls, or as it may be at times gets pushed over. I think of how strong of a woman she will become one day. I hope she takes these "lessons" of sorts and always stands up for herself and what she believes in, and when she falls in life will always get right back up and keep going.

She is walking, doing some talking, lots of signs, and loves to just be a part of everything around her. I treasure her giggles, her drama, and her love of books. She is much more adventuresome than Aiden was, she likes to go off to her room and play, read her books and have fun all my herself. She is full of drama, she loves to tell you what she thinks of everything, words or not so teen hood should be a trip! She wants to walk everywhere she goes, which I love to see people’s reaction so most of the time I let her.

Nina LOVES her daddy. While she said "mama" first she will always say "dada" with a huge smile on her face. She lights up to see him each morning and when he comes home in the evening. I love the way she pats his chest when he picks her up and gives her huge open mouth kisses to him often. It melts me to see their relationship grow and all that will come between them.

She also adores her big brother. They love to race the shopping cart/train push car all over the house laughing the whole way.  She wants to be where he is, doing what he is doing at all times.  While the fighting has started it doesn’t last long and most of the time despite my attempt to separate them they are play together again.  She is doing so much new and all Aiden does is want to help her be better and learn how to walk, use a fork, say new words, and she think the attention from his is great!  I pray that their relationship stay strong and she always looks up to Aiden the way she does today.

She still has issues going to people outside the selected few she deems okay to stay with.  She cry/screams instantly at church which over the past few weeks has her causing total chaos in the nursery on two separate occasions.  My parents tell me her scream, because its’ not really a cry is exactly what I used to do as a baby.  My only response is pure apology, because at times, it’s very inconvenient and hear bleeding annoying.  She knows what she wants and won’t give till she gets it.  Strong willed very much like her brother!

She’s my awesome little lady and I just love her to death!  Her a few pictures of her recently to wrap up!

Aiden update

My how the kids grow, too fast, as everyone has always told me. I wanted to update on these two ever growing little lives that run around my house and at some points drive me crazy. Today I'll start with Aiden.

Aiden is such a smart boy, i love as his speech improves all he is able to communicate to us and how funny he is. He's spend three and a half years taking in the world and I'm sure he will spend the next many years to come telling us all about what he thinks of it. He loves going to his playgroup Monday and Wednesday morning, he is doing so well with all his therapy and next fall with go to a Pre-K program.

Aiden loves to sing, dance, and play his guitar. Many times a day we find him asking us to "play in the band" with him. Church is a big part of his week, he looks forward to going to “sing at church”.  He looks up to our worship leaders and really wants to be like them.  He loves to wear his plaid shirt, because in some unwritten rule to lead worship you must love plaid.  Both Anthony and Tara are great with Aiden, I love to see his interact with each of them.

The other day I had a moment with Aiden that I hope to never forget.  As mentioned above Aiden really likes to listen to music and recent has become obsessed with the song Join in the Sound By Brother’s Mcclurg., he has so graciously renamed it to “tune my heart” however.  I’m actually surprised at how much of the song he can sing by himself.  The other day when he was singing he asked why we tune our hearts to God.  I got the awesome chance to help the seed of Jesus’s love for him grow deeper in his heart.  He didn’t want to ask Jesus in his heart right then, but someday soon he said.  My heart grew that day, greatful for the love of Jesus that is growing in my son.  I can’t wait for the day he ask me to help him “tune his heart” to Jesus forever.

He adores his little sister, now that she is getting older their relationship is only growing stronger and more fun to watch.  He loves watching all of Melina’s milestones and being her biggest supporter!  Even with simple things he always is telling her “I’m so proud of you Nina.”  It melts my heart daily to see them together, interacting and the love they share.  On the flip side Aiden is realize all his stuff is not so “safe” anymore.  He gets frustrated at times when he wants to play by himself, but learning to live with her, and future siblings (no that’s not a hint) and share are great lessons.

While I love watching my little baby boy grow up into a boy it saddens me a little as he needs me less and less in life.  I know he will always need his mom, but in other ways and I’m so excited that I’m doing something right and he is becoming so independent.   He has started telling me “you my babe mommy, you my babe.”  While I think he listens to Brandon and my conversations more than we think, I find it cute!  While most of the time I feel the love overflow from him, a month or so ago for the first time ever he told me “I not love you anymore mommy.”  Man, talk about being broken instantly.  As Aiden gains his independence he has started learning the power of words.  We’ve sense gotten over that little stage and I’m so thankful, it took all I had to deal with that for two days.

I’m so blessed to be his Mommy and look forward to what the future has in store for him and his life!  I leave you with a  few snapshots of my favorite little man!

How Death Has Made Me View Life

This blog has been in my mind, on my heart for so long but just never felt like the right time.  I hardly post, at all, yet let alone about things that are this type of personal.  In the beginning of December my Aunt Donna passed away.  While it wasn't totally unexpected, in ways it was.  My aunt has been "sick" for a very long time.  Physically she was in a constant state of pain that no doctor was ever able to officially diagnose.  Emotionally my aunt went through a lot in her lifetime so that also contributed to a lot of her emotional health and well being.

Almost 10 years ago my parents choose to try and help my Aunt and have her come live with us, at the time there was hope in finding out more about her physical health issues.  With all the pain she was in she took a lot of pain medication to function, it was hardcore, mind changing, down right scary medication, and even then I don't think the pain ever fully went away.  In so many ways my aunt was such a strong lady, she endured a lot, but always gave praise to God, and look forward to her day to meet Him face to face.  She was a very heavenly minded person, something that I look back and really admire about her now.

Within the years she spent her in New York with us we all had trials, hurts, and a lot of life changing moments.  Without going too far into detail, I personally was effected throughout those years she spent with us.  The hurt, the disappointment, the anger of it all I carried with me for so long.  This person was not who I had grown up knowing, who I was so excited to have come live with me.  In my high school years I battled finding who I was while as any normal teenager does, I had the pain of some one's thoughts about me, screwed thoughts, being shown to me too often.  I hurt, my heart, my mind, and deep in my soul as well.  I have carried those thoughts that were put into my head for so long without even realizing their power over me.

There was a period of time where my Aunt had come to realize some of what had gone on in the previous years.  I remember so clearly, we met a week my parents were on vacation for dinner at her house.  As we met my heart was hard, guarded and not so sure how to soften myself towards her.  I listen, I accepted her apology she offered on the surface, but the wall between us, in never fell.  I held on to the principal that while I can forgive, forgetting and bringing down my walls was not something I had to do, so there they stood, till the day she died.

I knew one day Aunt Donna would pass away, but unlike any other person I've ever imagined this reality about, I never knew how my heart would feel when that day came.  It has come, and gone and I tell you, sometimes I still do not know how to feel.  Before the funeral I sat, and looked at the body of the person that had caused so much pain in my life, yet good times as well.  I was frozen, couldn't cry, could make my head stop spinning, and then all I felt was her disapproval of my life.  I remember all that could come out of my mouth was "she didn't like me, she didn't like me, she didn't like me." All I saw was the pain, the voice of lies, and the horrible past.  I know in my heart my Aunt loved me, I know she is truly sorry for all that the past years has brought to us but my heart still hurts.  I try so hard, even to this day to see our good times, the positives and memories that I want to remember about our relationship.

Today I hurt for the things unsaid, the wall that i felt so strongly to keep there, hoping one day I would have the opportunity to bring it down.  I hurt that the time that came, and went, for the times I held on to my pain.  Once someone passes away, your time is gone, it will never be there again on this earth, whatever you left with that person is how it will be until you get to join them in heaven.  While I make no claims on when anyone will die, or go to heaven ,I do know more than anything that I never want to feel this way with someone else ever again.  I never want to go to another funeral with hurts, or resentment in my heart, the feeling of words that have gone unsaid.

Dear Aunt Donna,
While I'd give anything to be able to say this to you in person, I know you wait for me, as whole as you've ever been in heaven.  I'm sorry for my wall, while it had it's place and time I wish we had a better relationship.  Thank you for teaching me about living for today, to love those that I love %100, to say 'i'm sorry' when needed, and to take no relationship for granted.  While I still have people I want to put the past behind me with, I now understand why doing it tomorrow may not always work.  I love you, and I look forward to the day I get to see you again.

                                                                           Much love,
                                                                                        Kelley

Set a Fire

Just got back from a great service at my church.  I take away somethings here and there from sermons and worship but i felt tonight that it inspired me to contine on the path God has set out for me..  United Pursuit Band wrote a song called Set a Fire and we've been singing it the past few weeks at  church.  Tonight as I put my distractions in the nursery  Ibegan to really hear the lyrics of this song.

No place I'd rather be than here in Your love,
So set a fire down in my soul that I can't contain that I can't control I want more of You God.

How simple yet how full His voice to my calling.  I've known my passion, my love, the reason I stay awake some nights is for the lost souls of children that come to church in hopes of finding the great love of Jesus.  I've never been more passionate about anything like this before, it puts me on the edge of my seat so many times just to see these little lives change and God enter their world.  Children's ministry is what sets a fire down in my soul.  I pray God uses me however He wants and I wait in anticipation for his calling each day, some days more obvious and purposful than others.  As i sat in service tonight singing these few lyrics over and over again I am again set on fire deeper with my deisire to serve, to minister and to love like He loves.  I want more of God's love, His direction and His will for my life.  I want to feel that fire each day and be more aware to be in constant need of God's hand among it all.  Life with two kids, a husband, a home, a church my calling become confused, muddy and my fire seems dim, almost hopeless at times.  This song is a great reminder to me to keep that fire burning in my soul and keep going after the one who makes all things possible.

The sermon was just added words from God to me.  While I think i'll save that post for another day,  hopefully sooner rather than later it brings a lot of what i've been dealing with in my life to truth.  The power of words and how much words really do matter!

December in Recap

December has come and gone.  It didn't start, or finish the way i thought but we made it through.  The beginning of the month my aunt passed away so we spent  a lot of time getting things for her organized and were down in SC for a week doing funeral preparations.  We were so blessed to be able to stay with my Uncle Terry, Aunt Janette and their family for the week.  I'm grateful for the time we spent getting to know them better, and explore the area.  We were also blessed to spend a night connecting with old friends who have a very special place in our hearts.  I spend many years while they were in NY caring for their children, and it just makes my heart smile to see my babies being held and loved by children that i had such love for a few years ago.  It was great food, wonderful conversation and lots of great leadership ideas.

Once back in NY life was still spinning, it is half way through January and I think this week was the first that felt somewhat normal.  We celebration little Melina Joy's first birthday, had a wonderful Christmas and a great new years.  Lots of family time, laughs, memories and great food has filled this last month.  While we set off in 2013 I pray it is led by God and all he has in store for our family.

My Expression of Graditude.

thanks·giv·ing/ËŒTHaNGksˈgiviNG/

Noun:
  1. The expression of gratitude, esp. to God.

What a way to think about all that went on yesterday.  While i try to be thankful many times throughout the year, I'm grateful for a day spent with family to focus on just thank, looking at all i am blessed to have, and thank God for those things.

I love that as my children get older I can start to share with them the meaning behind the holidays of the season, each year I've seen Aiden just grow in his excitement of the true purpose for these next few months.

The other day at home we broke out the paints and had a little fun making turkey hand prints! (can you tell the preschool teacher inside me is dying to come out!)

Working for a church leaves December a busy month and not one where we can leave town, so we spent Thanksgiving with Brandon's family in Syracuse.  So grateful for the time we got to spend with them and lots of memories we got to create.

Oh yes, your eyes do not fool you, that's Aiden singing lead with great gram as the sombrero wearing, guitar playing back up singer preforming live!  Once in a life time folks!

i am so blessed by each day waking up in my warm bed, with my husband, son, and daughter right there (yes sometimes literally), plenty of food for us all to eat, and lots to keep us all happy, healthy and joyful!

I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and created lots of memories that last.

4 years

Four years ago today, we met in this place

to make promises that will last forever.

You are my forever

and I promise to be yours

While we have had highs and lows within these years i'm so proud to be able to say four years later that we still stand by our vows, love eachother deeply, and know we can withstand anything.  I'm shocked at how quick the years have gone by yet i hope we how many more years to have together.
He's the best husband, father and best friend God could have blessed me with, and through the years i look back and know i wouldn't want anyone else by my side through it all.

Brandon- Thanks for choosing me to be your wife, the mother of your children and you best friend.  I'm so happy we've made our marriage be the best it can be and i hope God gives us so many more years together!

"When God made you, he must have been thinking, about me." <3

3 years later

3 years ago my life was about to change forever, never again was my life just about me and my husband, and what we wanted and need, now it was about this tiny little boy.  He changed our sleep schedule, our daily activities, and the rest of our whole life but most importantly he changed our hearts forever.  I hold such a special place in my heart for my firstborn who made me a mommy, something I've always dreamed of being.  While there are days I'm not always proud of, there are so many more days i hope never to forget. I know at the end of each day while i kiss that little blond head goodnight that he loves me and i love him and that makes my life so complete.

Aiden Michael,
Tomorrow you will no longer be my little 2 year old toddler, but we officially enter the world of a 3 year old boy!  I can't tell you how surreal that feels, and how fast these past three years have gone.  I'm so proud to be your mommy, watching your grow up into such a boy this past year has been an honor.  I'm lucky that God gave you to me and your daddy and we are truly thankful He choose us to be your parents.  You make me laugh when all i want to do is scream in frustration, you hug me even if I'm mad and you love with your whole heart which in return just melts mine.  This year has been such a growing experience for us all.  Your speech is coming along, and feeding issues are all resolved, while you still are small you make up for it personality.  This year you became a big brother and one that couldn't be prouder!  You love you sister from the moment you wake up until you lay your head down at night.  I love to see her face light up when she sees you, and how you make her laugh like no one else.  There have been so many awesome memories i will take with me forever from this past year, and i look forward to many more we will continue to make.
Aiden I love you and am so happy to celebrate another year of your life with you!  Happy 3rd Birthday with many more to come! We love you!

To The Father's in My Life

Today is fathers day and I've been blessed to be able to celebrate it with 2 wonderful men as fathers in my life.

To my own dad, who's been such a steady rock in my life, there to help me grow up, learn the values of life, to cry with, laugh with and share so much I'll keep with me forever!  While he hasn't been perfect he's been the best dad i could ask for and I'm so lucky that God choose him to be my father.  As I've grow older, had my own kids it has been amazing to see him become an amazing grandpa or "bumpa" as we all so loving call him.

So to a wonderful father, and the best bumpa i know...Happy Father's Day!

To my best friend, husband and father of my children I'm so grateful. i loved to watch you make moment you treasure with our kids, for the seen and unseen i know it impacts them.   Thank you for being an awesome role model to our son and an example of true love to our daughter.  I'm so glad that Aiden and Melina have you as their dad!

Happy Fathers Day!!

March updates

I love naptime...i love it even more when BOTH kids are sleeping!  So after laundry is put in, and I have a moment to myself I decided a quick blog was in order.

Since the last post we've had a few events take place...

Aiden went to GI and is progressing great!  He's up to 24 1/2 lbs and doing awesome.  He eats NON STOP! i kid you not, we get done with dinner, i clean up and he's already saying he wants to eat again...ugh.  It's a nice change from the "i never eat" stage i feel like we went through forever, but both sides have equal amounts of stress to them.  The GI doctor said now that he is off the meds we will give it till after the summer and then go in for another endoscopy to make sure the allergens have really stayed away.  In other news of Aiden, we are working on getting him into a play group for his speech therapy.  His speech is coming along well but he struggles to use it in groups with other kids, so along with getting him to socialize with other kids as much as possible we are also hoping and praying the county approves the play group idea as well.

Melina had her 2 month drs. visit last week.  (for the record i'm not sure where the last 2 months have gone, it doesn't seem at all possible!)  anyways her weight was a breath of fresh air, for us and the doctors.  She now is up to 7lbs even and doing awesome!!
She has a rough week last week on thurs.  Aiden lost his balance and feel on her when she as in her bouncy.  Sadly the result was a broken collarbone :( However she is doing great and taking it like a champ!  We hope to have her all healed up and good as new in 2-3 weeks!

Well i've run out of things to post for now, i'm sure there will be more to come soon!  For now here a few pictures to enjoy.

A Stillness and Great Reminder from Today

Both kids napping at the same time= success!  So I'll take a little break and blog shortly before i get laundry going.

Today we got news that dear family friend passed away from a several year struggle with breast cancer.  My heart hurts for her family and friends.  It's something so eye opening that i know personally i try not to think about.  As we get older so do our family, more importantly on my heart today, our parents.  I'm so close to my parents that its hard to even think about what life would ever be like without them.  I'm reminded once again as three people my age have to go on without their mother here on earth.  I can't imagine what that is like, i do know that it has to be hard.

So today, as my heart is sad for the Goodrich family, I'm also reminded about never taking moments with families, parents for granted.  Taking time to thank God for the time he gives us to be together, and making the most out of it.

It's been too long, but with good reason...

So it's been awhile, i actually miss blogging.  I can't promise I'll be any better, but since life has had a chance to calm down a little I'll take a moment to update on our life.  Since my last post our newest family member has arrived!  After about a week and a half of hospital in and outs, doctor visits almost daily and lot of extras our little Melina Joy was born on Decembe23rd at 3:03pm.  A whole 5 weeks early she came into the world as if she owned it!  Weighing in at all of 4lbs 3oz she fought to keep up with a full term newborn and was very successful.  One day I'll post her full birth story but for now these few details will have to do.  I do however want to thank everyone who prayed for our family over those few weeks.  Pregnancy agrees with me up until about 35 weeks and then my body decides its done, but through the power of prayer and the grace of God Melina shocked not only us but the doctors, and nurses with her entrance.  All the love, support and prayer was felt and I'll always be so grateful for everyone who was with our family during that time.

Since we've been home its been an adjustment, but we are doing much better these days.  I've said many times that the first few weeks Aiden had more problems and was harder to deal with than Melina.  Due to the way Melina came, quickly and unexpectedly, Aiden was very thrown off.  Mom and Dad coming and going for a week and then just disappeared.  Aiden did horrible at the hospital, that was even more traumatizing for him, he just wanted to have everyone home!  With post pardum emotions, missing my son, his reaction to everyone left everyone in a hot, crying mess on numerous occasions.  I can laugh about it now, but the first few days the bathroom was where i had to retreat anytime my emotions got the best of me.  Aiden couldn't see my cry without having his anxiety go up so i had many trips into the bathroom to collect myself.  It's so great to see that things have returned to our new normal and we settle into becoming a family of 4.

Aiden (despite his love of the word "no" as of recent) really does love being a big brother.  He goes to her when she cries and give her her 'packa' a stuffed alpaca toy to make her feel better.  He loves to give her kisses, help hold her and even have her kiss his boo boos he gets haha.  It melts my heart to see the two of them and how much they will grow in their bond over their lifetime.  I thank God that they have each other and hope they are forever grateful for each other, in between the inevitable fights they will have.

Brandon and I are, adjusting as well.  It's been great to have a support in him, and we're also adjusting to our new normal.  We've both gone back to work and he is back as school, so we are becoming creative in finding time for us.  We've started on the road of Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey as well.  The road is tough, not going to lie, but I've heard so many great things about it I'm excited to see God work through our finances, as well as our marriage.  This past week especially we've really come to the point of having to do this 100% and give God that chance to show how he really does take care of us.  While my "free spirit" is more excited than my "nerds" about seeing this, i hope we are both able to grow closer to each other as well as God through this 13 week class.

In short these are where we are now...so I'll leave you with a few pictures of our life the past month and write more later!
our little lady!

Many more to come soon, but for now there are mouths to feed, diapers to change, and faces to kiss!

p.s because it's been so long i hope everyone had a great Christmas and is having a wonderful 2012!!

Friday News

Thank you all for the nice thoughts, messages, and most of all prayer over the baby, and our family, it was very much felt.  We have overall good news, we met with the high risk OB, had an entire new anatomy ultrasound done and as of right now things look normal, small end of normal, but normal.  The doctor thinks that while yes we will have small babies an extra eye on things can never hurts.  While I'm not going to see him anymore and i can return to my regular OB for the remainder of my pregnancy he has recommended a few extra things.  I'll be going in every week for a non stress test, and bi weekly for fluid checks on the baby just to monitor her growth and ensure things are going well.

I'm so thankful for God hands through everyone, while talking to the doctor, unknown to me, the main point of going to see him yesterday was to see if baby would be better off outside than in.  He was pleased to say she can stay right where she is, while she does measure on the small side, everything else looks normal, healthy and on the right track!  Thank God because, despite the restless nights of sleep, the backaches, and everything else that 3rd trimester so richly bless you with I'm not ready to be done.  I'm not ready to have her outside, that's not in the plan, its not what i want and I'm just not ready to give her up yet.  While I'm glad my OB didn't outright say that to be a few days ago, I'm so thankful that was not what we had to do.  God knows and he has been such a peaceful presence throughout this all.

Please continue to pray, this time my top request would be for Aiden.  Strange as it may seem, he senses our anxiety over everything, he's sick of being dragged along to the doctors for long periods of time, and his schedule changes so much he is just having a hard time.  I'm thankful for a peaceful Friday at home, where he can play, with no where special to be today.   It just feels good, for all of us, to have a little bit of "normal" because soon we'll be adjusting to a new normal.  Also pray God give us someone in the Rochester area that can help care for Aiden during these next weeks of doctors visits.  I'm not sure what we'll do with him, its not fair to have him sit through endless appointments, however its hard to find care sometimes.

Thanks again for every one's love and supports!

for now here's a picture from our last ultrasound

and a little preview of our lazy Friday at home IPhone style!

Have a Great Friday!

One More Dr. On Board

After my ultrasound I got a call yesterday from my OB and I'm being referred to a high risk OB for further testing on little Miss's growth.  In her words "she seems to be getting skinnier from what we can see in the ultrasound."  These last weeks of your pregnancy are the fat pile on time and she seems to be slimming down so that brings up concern.  The new OB is out of Park Ridge Unity hospital, which just so happens to be where my mom works.  After a quick call to her and her inside edition to the hospital she  says he  is a very nice guy and also specializes in genetics perfect! right?  God's perfect plan moment. Anyways we go tomorrow for another ultrasound (this lady is going to have just as many pics in utero as out lol) and then our first consultation with this new OB after.

While being constantly monitored is not such a bad thing, it makes my anxiety/worry go in waves.  I'm at peace with having a small child, I'm at a peace with her growth not being what the world of medicine considers "normal".  I've been through this, the tears, fears, sleepless nights over just aren't worth it, God is in control and has His hands on her from day 1.  However every time they find something new, that concerns them it brings all the emotions back to the surface.

Please pray for our emotions as we cont. to press on, the doctors for wisdom and for this precious life that she continues to grow into the woman that God has created her to be!  Thanks for all your love and support, and we'll update tomorrow once we know more!!

Baby Update

Little miss Switzer's update for today...We went in for another ultrasound to measure her growth and make sure she's still growing on the curve and we have less than desirable news, yet not horrible.  We've gone from the 18th percentile down to the 12th weighing in today at 3.5lbs.  With only 7 more weeks to go, we're going to be having an preemie size child at full term more than likely.  The ultrasound tech. says that the doctors don't seem to worry too much unless the baby falls below the 10th percentile, so for that I'm thankful and praying she stays where she's at or goes back up.  We will have another ultrasound before my due date to check again and see the progress that she's making before her birthday.  My prayer is I can cont. to stay health and able to carry her to 40 weeks giving her the most time available to gain weight and develop.

For now we thank God that she's active, healthy, and doing great otherwise!

Welcome December

December is here!  So excited for this time of year; the snow, warmth of my home, time with family, laughter of pure joy and most of all the birth of Christ to remember.  Not sure if it's the pregnancy, 2 year old child or what but it really feels like Christmas lately.  Church is doing a series on advent which means "coming", a time where we look forward in adticipation to the birth of Jesus and the celebration of Jesus coming to earth.  I see how excited Aiden gets this time with the lights, setting up the tree, going to see family and its such a paralle of the joy he has for those things as we should have for the coming of Jesus's birthday.

Updates on life...

Aiden is 22lbs which is awesome, a blessing answer to prayers!  He is becoming such a boy, it is awesome to see his personality show up more and more each day as he gets older.  I am thainkful each day for his love of life, he humor, and his way to bring a smile to my face no matter what.

Our little miss #2  is doing great as well.  We go for our next ultrasound soon to check her growth progress over the last month and a half.  So excited to be blessed with extra times to see her before she is born!

Church is going great, God is continue to show his faithfulness as we enter into this Christmas season i'm so excited to be open for our first Christmas service!

and now it's nap time :-)

Halloween, the Way We Celebrate

I know Halloween isn't everyone's thing, for a variety of reasons, however in our house we like to have fun! So until the holiday turns into something other than that, we continue to celebrate in our own little ways.  We got our pumpkin a few weeks back, and today we let Aiden paint his pumpkin, because carving just wasn't his thing, and this he was able to participate in so much more!

After nap time we all went to my parents for a homemade pizza dinner then went out to a few of these neighbors and other special friends around town to trick or treat.  Aiden had so much fun saying hi to all the people and filling his plastic pumpkin bucket full of "moor teats" as he would call them!

So we had fun, no scares needed, but lots of memories of family times together!

Happy Halloween All!!
